Buying Guide
Last summer, our family had 8 people over for a backyard volleyball game. The old cheap net sagged halfway through the first match, so we had to stop playing.
- Durability and Weatherproofing: Pick a net that fights sun, rain, and wind. Look for UV-resistant coating and rust-proof poles. Thick, double-stitched netting won’t tear easily during rough play.
- Net Size and Regulation Fit: Choose a net that matches official size for a real game feel. Most standard outdoor nets are 32 feet long and 3 feet tall. Smaller 20-foot nets work great for kids or small backyards.
- Easy Setup and Portability: Look for tool-free assembly so you can set up fast. Lightweight poles and a carry bag make moving the net easy. Push-button locks help adjust height quickly for all players.
- Play Stability: Thick ground stakes keep the net from tipping over. Heavy-duty poles stop the net from sagging when you hit the ball. A taut net makes the game way more fun to play.
- Included Extras: Some sets come with a volleyball, pump, and boundary lines. A carry bag makes storage and transport super simple. Check for a warranty for extra peace of mind.
